Academic Calendar
The academic year at TU Eisenfeld follows the German semester structure: the winter semester runs from 1 October to 31 March, the summer semester from 1 April to 30 September. Examinations take place in two phases per semester; online examinations are offered in two time windows covering all time zones.
Winter semester 2026/27
The 2026/27 winter semester begins on 1 October 2026. Onboarding week for first-year students runs from 5 to 9 October; teaching starts on 12 October. Teaching pauses over Christmas and New Year.

Summer semester 2027
The 2027 summer semester begins on 1 April 2027; teaching runs from 12 April to 23 July. The lecture-free period hosts block practicals in the virtual laboratories and the digital career day.

Application and administrative deadlines
For studies beginning in the 2027/28 winter semester, the binding application deadline is 15 July 2027. Re-registration, leave of absence and programme changes are handled in the student portal; the respective deadlines are published there and in the Official Gazette.

Online examinations and time zones
Online examinations are offered in two windows per examination day (09:00 and 17:00 CET) so that students in every time zone sit their exam at a reasonable local time. Allocation happens at exam registration in the student portal; technical rehearsal runs take place one week before each examination phase.
