Requirements and documents
Programme-specific requirements appear on each programme page. General requirements will be added once institutional review is complete.
- 01Entry qualification — higher education entrance qualification including mathematics and one natural science (overall grade 2.5 or better)
- 02Language evidence — English C1 (IELTS 7.0 / TOEFL iBT 95) or German C1 (TestDaF 4x4 / DSH-2), depending on the language of instruction
- 03Required documents — transcripts, language certificate, CV and identity document
- 04Recognition of prior learning — recognition of prior learning up to 30 ECTS under the Lisbon Recognition Convention
Dates and deadlines
Applications are accepted year-round; the following dates are binding for the 2027 intake. Late applications are carried over to the next start date.
- 01Application deadline — 15 July 2027 (23:59 CET)
- 02Admission decision — within four weeks of a complete application
- 03Acceptance of the study place — by 31 August 2027
- 04Onboarding and orientation week — from 20 September 2027
- 05Start of studies — 1 October 2027
Tuition fees and funding
Fees are listed on each programme page and are billed per semester. Instalment plans carry no surcharge; scholarships are awarded on merit and need.
- 01Semester fee including digital services and virtual laboratories
- 02Instalment plan — monthly payments with no interest or charges
- 03Scholarship programme — reductions of 10 to 50 percent, applied for together with admission
- 04Early-bird and alumni reductions combinable up to 20 percent
- 05Employer funding — invoicing directly to the company on request
International students
Applicants with international qualifications are supported by the International Office. Fully online programmes require no visa; for campus and hybrid phases the university assists with the visa process.

- 02Visa for campus phases — invitation letter and guidance from the International Office
- 03Health insurance — proof required before enrolment, advice included
- 04Language preparation — free bridging courses in English and German before the start
- 05Buddy programme — a personal contact from admission onwards
Enrolment and onboarding
After accepting the study place, enrolment is completed fully online. During orientation week you get to know the platform, the laboratories and your study team — before the first day of classes.
